Art Consulting for False Creek Projects
– ABOUT THE PROJECT
BCreative has worked on several art consulting projects with Concord Pacific, among Vancouver’s largest property developers, to provide custom art for their waterfront building projects. In their interior design choices for their elite properties, Concord Pacific has always shown a strong commitment to local sourcing and working with Vancouver’s vibrant creative community. For their Marinaside Crescent project, we commissioned Vancouver artist Ann Thinghuus to create a cascading series of colourful abstract panels that suggest a tropical waterfall. The dramatic piece makes a lively presence in the double-story central atrium, adding to the elite appeal of this prestigious property. And for a West Georgia property, four large Andy Warhol prints of Marilyn Monroe to pop some bright energy into the chic lobby.
Since 1988 when it first started developing the long slipper of former industrial land along north False Creek, Concord Pacific Properties has lead a physical and aesthetic renaissance of downtown Vancouver through dozens of award-winning projects. Over the years, Concord Pacific has been a strong supporter of Vancouver’s cultural community and was a key supporter of the new Vancouver Art Gallery.
